Finding the best acne treatments for sensitive skin is a real challenge!  Those of us with sensitive skin often break out into a rash in reaction to the ingredients in many acne skin care products.

Some of the common ingredients that are in most acne treatments such a salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide can cause allergic reactions and skin irritation even for people who don’t normally have sensitive skin.
In addition, researchers have discovered that these ingredients can other health effects on the immune system, and in the organ systems of our bodies.

Salicylic acid in particular is of concern because it is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream and where it is transported to many other parts of our bodies.  It is linked to neurological and developmental problems, and so it is not the best ingredient to use for acne treatment for sensitive skin.
